Dr. Maria Boile is Professor of Port and Intermodal Terminal Policy and Management and Director of the Intelligent Shipping and Transport Systems Laboratory (ISTS Lab) at the Department of Maritime Studies, University of Piraeus. She is also Coordinator of the European Waterborne Technology Platform, where she contributes to shaping European research and innovation priorities for the waterborne transport sector, including those linked to the Co-Programmed Partnership on Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport under Horizon Europe. She leads the Shipping and Ports Unit at the Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH/HIT) and is an affiliated faculty member of the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) at Rutgers University, where she is also involved in the Infrastructure Asset Management Academy. Dr. Boile has held a range of senior academic and research positions in the United States and Europe. She has served as Associate Professor of Transportation at Rutgers University, co-Director of CAIT’s Freight and Maritime Program, Academic Fellow at the Rutgers Center for Supply Chain Management, Assistant Professor of Transportation at Lafayette College, and Research Director at the Hellenic Institute of Transport. Her expertise spans maritime and intermodal freight transport, port policy and management, transport and logistics systems, infrastructure asset management, transport economics, sustainability, security, resilience and policy. Over more than three decades of international academic, research and policy activity, she has participated in and led more than 100 major research and innovation projects and studies in Europe and the United States, serving as Principal Investigator in a substantial share of them. She has also held long-standing roles within the Transportation Research Board of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, including Vice-Chair of the former International Trade and Transportation Committee. She currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Port Operations and Infrastructure and as Marine Liaison to the Executive Subcommittee on International Activities. Her wider policy and professional engagement includes advisory work for national ministries and public authorities on transport, ports, energy, sustainability and supply-chain issues. She is a member of the KOMVOS think tank, representative of the Technical Chamber of Greece on the Council for Coastal Shipping, and Technical Coordinator of the ELOT TE 6/OE1 Working Group on Shipping, Ports and Environment. Dr. Boile has developed undergraduate and postgraduate curricula at several academic institutions and has taught transport, logistics, economics and maritime subjects in universities, executive programmes and professional courses across Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa. She is the author or co-author of more than 300 scientific and technical publications and reports, 18 book chapters, and five books and monographs. Her contributions to transport research have been recognised through several distinctions, including the prestigious TRA Senior Researcher Award in 2026, recognizing her contributions to the waterborne sector. She holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering, with specialisation in Transportation, from the National Technical University of Athens, an M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Dr. Alexander Artikis is the Deputy Director of QuALS, Professor of Maritime Informatics at the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus, and Affiliated Faculty/Research Associate at NCSR Demokritos. His field of expertise is “Information Technology in Shipping and Transport”. His research focuses on complex event processing, real-time analytics, and AI based decision systems, all of which are central to QuALS’ digital transformation agenda. He contributes to the development of predictive algorithms, intelligent monitoring systems, and advanced maritime information platforms, enhancing the lab’s capabilities in automation, situational awareness, and operational optimization. He also plays a leading role in interdisciplina research projects that integrate computer science, operations research and maritime domain knowledge, supporting the lab’s mission to pioneer next-generation digital solutions for the shipping industry.

Stratos Papadimitriou is a Professor at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus teaching transport planning and logistic courses and is the Director of the Transportation Systems Laboratory. He has been the Chairman BoD of the Athens International Airport from 2010 to 2012 and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) from 1997 to 2002 among past assignments. During his five-year tenure at OASA, the public transportation companies under the OASA umbrella including the Athens METRO and Light Rail systems were reorganized and restructured financially, a major investment plan was implemented, and a variety of innovative programs were introduced which modernized public transport in greater Athens and improved mobility. He has also served as an advisor to Ministers of Transport for national and European affairs and has acted as a consultant in various entities. Currently he is an advisor to the founder of a NYSE listed major ship owning company. He has been involved in managing and participating more than 20 European Union funded research projects regarding transport planning, logistics, maritime and urban transport. He serves regularly as an evaluator in DG MOVE / REA (CeF) Research Framework programs and for the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA). He has published more than 55 research papers and his work has been cited more than 4100 times.

Dr. Theodoros Pelagidis is Professor of Economic Analysis at the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus, the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece, and former Finance Minister. His field of expertise is “Economic Analysis”. Within QuALS he provides thought leadership on the macroeconomic and financial dimensions of the maritime and logistics sectors, contributing to the lab’s work on market modeling, trade dynamics, port competitiveness, and investment strategies. His deep understanding of regulatory economics, public finance, and international trade enables the lab to position its research within broader economic policy contexts, ensuring that outputs are aligned with national and European strategic objectives. He also supports the development of policy briefs and foresight studies, linking academic research with high-level policymaking and institutional dialogue.

Peter J. Stavroulakis is a Diplomate Mechanical and Production Engineer (National Technical University of Athens), with a master’s degree in business administration from the Agricultural University of Athens, a master’s degree in occupational and environmental health from the Medical School of Athens, and a PhD from the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus, in which he also completed his post-doctoral research in the field of sustainability of maritime clusters. He also holds training certificates in the fields of child and adolescent psychopathology and psychodynamic psychotherapy. For a number of years he was an external partner of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education and a member of the academic staff at the American College of Greece, until the moment of his appointment at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus. Peter holds many collaborations with private and public bodies such as the Hellenic Army, the Athens Transportation Organization, Attiki Odos, the National Technical University of Athens, and the University of West Attica. His discipline concerns maritime technology and management science and his research interests refer to the analysis of the functional and constructional elements of ships and modern methods and tools for managing maritime businesses in relation to existing and emerging technologies, their applications, development, and improvement.

Dr. Vangelis Tsioumas is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods in Shipping at the Department of Maritime Studies, University of Piraeus. Dr. Tsioumas has an extensive record of research, teaching, and administration. He holds a PhD from the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus, an MSc in Risk Management & Financial Engineering from Imperial College Business School, and a BSc & MSc in Applied Mathematics from National Technical University of Athens. Dr. Tsioumas has published numerous research articles in the areas of shipping market modeling and strategic management using analytical tools. He has also served as a reviewer for several journals. Furthermore, Dr. Tsioumas conducted research at the Athens University of Economics and Business as a Post-doctoral Fellow and at New York University (NYU) as a visiting scholar. In the past, Dr. Tsioumas lectured at the Department of Naval Architecture, University of West Attica in both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs; at the Department of Port Management and Shipping, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; and at the American College of Greece – Deree, where he served as the Head of the Department of Maritime Transport & Logistics and as an inaugural fellow of the Center of Excellence in Shipping, Logistics & Transportation (CoELST). He was awarded a Stipend for Excellence in Teaching at Deree during 2017-18. Dr. Tsioumas has several years of work experience in the maritime industry as a shipping market analyst and chartering broker. He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS). Moreover, he has participated in various European research and consulting projects in the areas of shipping and port management. Most recently, he served for 3.5 years as a Research Manager for the SkillSea project at the Eugenides Foundation.

Andreas Gondikas is a chemical engineer (National Technical University of Athens, Greece) with a master’s degree in engineering management (Duke University, USA) and a PhD in environmental (nano)metrology (Duke University, USA). He worked as a postdoctoral researcher on several projects at the University of Vienna and the Gothenburg University, before assuming the role of Principal Investigator for the HFRI-funded project “NanoISland” at the Faculty of Geology & Geoenvironment, University of Athens, Greece. He then served as project manager for the EU-funded project “nexusmonARC”, leading an interdisciplinary team of scientists in monitoring water quality at the Hellenic Volcanic Arc. In addition, he provides innovation management services for industrial and academic organizations in research and development projects. Having a keen interest in environmental challenges, Andreas has been involved in several proposals and projects in the EU and the US, studying the effects of human activities on the ecosystem and human health. He is a permanent member of the organizing committee for the “Plastics workshop for early career researchers: Best practices and expert insights” (https://microplasticsworkshop.com/) and a member of the Working Group on Shipping Impacts in the Marine Environment (WGSHIP) at the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), representing Greece (https://www.ices.dk/community/groups/Pages/WGSHIP.aspx).

Mr Emmanouil Zervas is a retired Hellenic Navy Combat Officer with 40 years of service and 20 years of seagoing experience. His background includes command of three different types of warships, namely a minehunter, fast attack craft and tank landing ship, as well as three years as Commander of a Fast Attack Craft Squadron. He also served as Commander of a Naval Training Centre, Director of Administration at the Naval Base of Crete, Staff Officer at the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, and Naval Operations Staff Officer at a NATO Maritime Headquarters in Taranto, Italy. His training includes NATO crisis management, maritime interdiction operations, maritime operations law, anti-piracy-related legal frameworks, fire-fighting and damage control training, and postgraduate studies in Naval Science and Technology. Since his retirement, he has acted as Strategic Advisor to the CEO of the Elefsina Port Authority, contributing to strategic planning, organisational development, port-related operational issues and environmental management.

Dr. Fani Sakellariadou is a geochemical oceanographer. She received her Ph.D. in marine geochemistry from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College (London, UK). She holds an M.Phil in Oceanography from the School of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has a diploma (D.I.C.) in organic synthesis from Imperial College (London, UK). She has a degree in chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She is elected President of Division VI “Chemistry and Environment” of IUPAC for the period 2024-26 and Vice President for 2022-24 and is a Member of the Science Board. She served as a titular member (2018-20) and project coordinator of Division VI of IUPAC. She is Director of the Laboratory of Oceanography – Marine Geochemistry (since its establishment in 2002) and Director of the MSc “Sustainable Blue Economy” (since its establishment in 2018). She is a guest researcher (2023-24) at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has been Chair of the Department of Maritime Studies (two two-year terms), a member of the Senate of the University of Piraeus for four years, and Director of the Erasmus+ Programme for five years. For 15 years, she has served as a national expert on air pollution issues for the European Union. She worked as a marine geochemistry expert at Hydrex, as a marine geochemist at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), and as a researcher at the School of Electrical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Her current main research interests include the geochemistry of marine sediments (heavy metal speciation and organic matter analysis), seabed mining (deep sea and placer deposits) for critical metals and REE and its environmental impacts, microplastics pollution, pollutant studies in port sediments, environmental impacts of shipping, and the sustainable blue economy concept. She has published numerous papers and two books.

Dr. Anastasios Ziakas is an economist and a Research Associate at the University of Piraeus Research Center, where he has been affiliated with the Intelligent Shipping and Transport Systems Laboratory (ISTS Lab) since April 2022. He has also been a credentialed member of the Economic Chamber of Greece since 2019. His academic foundation comprises a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business (2019) and an M.Sc. in Shipping from the University of Piraeus (2021), where his thesis investigated the spatial dynamics and strategic criteria of dry port location selection. Methodologically, Dr. Ziakas possesses advanced expertise in data analysis, applied economics, financial assessment, and Python-based computational modeling. His overarching research agenda converges at the intersection of maritime economics and sustainability. Specifically, his interests encompass coastal shipping operations, environmental economics, and sustainable maritime transport. Furthermore, his scholarship explores rural economic development through the optimization of competitive supply chains and the reinforcement of regional identity via the revitalization of local products. His research contributions have been widely disseminated at premier international academic venues, including the International Congress on Transportation Research (ICTR 2021, 2023), the International Conference on Maritime Technology and Engineering (MARTECH 2024), and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting (2024). Additionally, his scholarly work is published in recognized peer-reviewed scientific journals and proceedings, notably the Journal of Shipping and Trade and Advances in Maritime Technology and Engineering.

Dr. Lila Perra is an Urban and Regional Planner. She is an Associate Researcher at the ISTS Lab at UPRC since 2021 and the Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (HIT/CERTH) since 2018. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Thessaly in Volos (2014), and two MSc Degrees from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), one in ‘Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development’ (2015), and another in ‘Techniques and Methods in Spatial Analysis, Planning and Management’ (2018). In 2026 she received her PhD from the University of Piraeus, where her research focused on Maritime Spatial Planning, Short Sea Shipping, territorial cohesion, and the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks based on key performance indicators (KPIs). Her expertise includes maritime and transport planning, spatial planning using GIS and CAD, sustainability assessment, (composite) indicator development, and evidence-based policy support. Dr. Perra has participated in numerous European and national research projects related to sustainable mobility, maritime transport, and skills development, including Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe initiatives. She has contributed to the development of innovative training approaches, research dissemination activities, scientific publications, and international conferences. She is also a member of the Community of Practice of the EU Blue Economy Observatory, contributing to the Working Group on Environmental indicators and participating in European stakeholder networks supporting sustainable blue economy policies and skills development.

Dr. Eleftherios Sdoukopoulos is the Head of the "Environmental and Energy Impacts of Transport Systems” Laboratory at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). He holds a MEng in Rural and Surveying Engineering, a MSc in Transport Engineering (both from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a PhD in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus. For his master studies, he received an Award of Excellence for graduating first in his class, while during his doctoral studies he received a Fulbright Scholarship and conducted part of his doctoral research at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Memphis (Tennessee, U.S). His doctoral dissertation focused on port-hinterland relationships and interactions within global supply chains, while his research interests extend to shipping, port and maritime terminal management, operation and policy making, port-city relationships and interactions, with a clear focus on the environmental and energy evaluation dimension. Within the aforementioned fields, he has participated so far, in 22 research projects and studies funded under different European, regional and national programmes, and has authored and co-authored 1 book and 49 scientific papers published in international journals, edited books and conference proceedings.

Konstantia Karagkouni is an Engineer of Spatial Planning and Regional Development, with MSc in Organization, Management and Planning of Transport Systems (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, GR). In 2017 she worked for the Transport, Urban Planning and Economics Laboratory (LAET) in Lyon, France. She successfully completed the quarterly training seminar in 2018 held by The Greek Exporters Association (SEVE) “Export trade transactions of products” combining series of theoretical courses and internship in a private company. Finally, she has experience on the management-coordination and implementation of co-funded projects of the European Union (HORIZON, Interreg Europe, etc.). Since April 2020, she is a member of CERTH/HIT, where she is participating in research programs on sustainable mobility and maritime transport.

Aggelos Aggelakakis is a PhD candidate at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus, conducting research on Port Infrastructure and Operations Resilience. He is a member of the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory (QuALS), where he has contributed to the implementation of several research projects. He holds an MSc in Transport Systems and has extensive experience in European and national research programmes, as well as traffic studies in Greece and Cyprus. He has also completed international training in Maritime and Port Security at the Galilee International Management Institute. Since 2013, he has been a Research Associate at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (CERTH-HIT).

He graduated with honors from the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus in 2017 and was honored with the scholarship SEVASMIA REGKOS (Propeller Club of the U.S. International Port of Piraeus). He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law (specialization in Maritime Law) from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. At the same time, he is studying at the undergraduate level at the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and at the postgraduate level at the Information Systems of Linnaeus University. Finally, in 2017 he participated in the writing of the chapter “Coastal and Maritime Tourism” in the collective project “European Governance in key areas for the recovery of Greece: Agricultural Production, Tourism, Maritime Policy” carried out by the European Center of Excellence Jean Monnet of the University of Athens, under the European Commission’s three year lifelong learning program (2014-17).

Konstantinos Michalopoulos is a PhD candidate at the University of Piraeus. He holds an MSc in Marine Science and Technology Management from the University of Piraeus and a BSc in Public Administration from Panteion University, with a specialization in public economics, financial accounting, as well as a Minor in Finance from Deree – The American College of Greece. In 2023, he was awarded 2nd place by the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN GR) for his thesis on “Ethics and e-Governance.” Professionally, he serves as a Strategy & Development Officer at the Piraeus Port Authority / COSCO Shipping, focusing on strategic planning, investment and CAPEX forecasting, and strategic foresight briefings for the Board of Directors. He previously worked as a Business Consultant in Transformation Delivery at Ernst & Young and has collaborated with OECD, EIB and various European Directorates – General, with earlier experience in operations and financial analysis at Danaos Shipping. He also serves as Editor in Chief of Ermis, the magazine of the Athens College alumni community.

Christos Nedeloglou is a research associate at University of Piraeus Research Center and a member of the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory (QuALS) . He holds a BA in Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies from the University of Macedonia and an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), where his thesis focused on the maritime supply chain dimension of Europe’s natural gas sourcing. His research interests include supply chain management, shipping, energy, and the development of policies at the national and European levels, with a focus on competitiveness and sustainability.

Konstantinos Papaefthymiou is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer and a Consultant at Ricardo Energy and Environment, where he works within the Sustainable Transport team. His expertise lies in maritime decarbonisation, regulatory compliance, and strategy development, supporting both public and private sector clients in advancing environmental performance and aligning with evolving IMO and EU frameworks He has previously served as a Performance Engineer and Environmental Expert at ShipReality, contributing to the development of advanced digital solutions for vessel optimization using 3D design, XR technologies, and energy-efficiency compliance tools. Earlier roles include Research Engineer and Environmental Specialist positions at RINA, where he delivered research outputs, conducted IMO-focused training on energy efficiency and decarbonisation, and advised shipping companies on regulatory alignment. His work has also included compliance assessments for EU MRV and IMO DCS schemes and analysis of EEXI-related technical solutions Konstantinos holds an MEng in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), with a specialization in vessel operational data and hull performance. He has contributed to several European-funded projects—such as SafePASS, NAVGREEN, V-ACCESS, and PreMETS—providing expertise in regulatory frameworks, risk assessment, energy-efficiency measures, and predictive-maintenance best practices.

Symeoni-Eleni Soursou is an energy and environmental economist with extensive experience in corporate development, economic analysis, competition policy, and strategic consulting. She is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Piraeus, specializing in the role of the EU Emissions Trading System in power market dynamics, and has contributed to academic instruction in microeconomics, industrial policy, and energy economics. Her professional background includes roles at Apollo Green Solutions in AI-driven energy management, the Hellenic Competition Commission’s Market Mapping and Merger Task Force Unit, and Eurobank’s Economic Analysis & Research Unit, where she produced research on energy transition, sustainability, and macroeconomic developments. She has also held consultancy positions at Critical Future LTD and supported communications and strategic development in both the cultural and private sectors. Symeoni-Eleni has authored and co-authored multiple publications on energy markets, environmental policy, renewable energy, and energy poverty in leading academic outlets, including Elsevier and MDPI. She serves as a Research Associate at the Greek Energy Forum and a Board Member of the Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies, while also acting as a reviewer for several international journals in the fields of energy and environmental economics.

Konstantinos Stathoulopoulos, CFA, is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in corporate finance, investment analysis, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise across diverse sectors including shipping, banking, capital markets, and private investments, combining analytical rigor with a practical understanding of business operations and value creation. Currently serving as Senior Financial Analyst at Vasileiadis Group of Companies, Konstantinos is responsible for financial analysis and reporting across multiple group entities, the evaluation of investment opportunities, the development of business plans and financial models, and the management of relationships with financial institutions. His role also involves portfolio management and risk assessment, supporting senior management in making informed strategic and financing decisions. Prior to joining Vasileiadis Group, he worked at Capital Maritime & Trading Corp. as a Financial Analyst within the CEO Office, where he collaborated closely with senior executives on corporate finance initiatives, investment evaluations, financial transactions, and market research. He contributed to the preparation of investor presentations, earnings reports, and strategic analyses, while gaining extensive exposure to the global shipping industry and capital markets. Earlier in his career, Konstantinos worked at Citibank Europe Plc in Asset Servicing, supporting institutional investors through custody operations, corporate actions processing, bond issuance activities, portfolio monitoring, and risk management. He also gained experience in derivatives trading and portfolio risk analysis through his role at NBG Securities, strengthening his understanding of financial markets and investment strategies. Konstantinos holds a Master of Science in Shipping and a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus, where he graduated with distinction and ranked among the top students of his class. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2024, demonstrating his commitment to the highest standards of professional excellence, ethics, and investment expertise.

Mr. Karolos Geroulanos is a Naval Mechanical Engineer with over 19 years of operational and sea-going experience in the Hellenic Navy, combining high-level leadership with technical expertise in complex environments. Having served aboard frontline combat units (including Frigates “S class” and Fast Attack Crafts “VOSPER class”) as Chief Engineer and Damage Control Officer, he has a proven track record in mission readiness and systems engineering. Parallel to his naval career, he is a PhD Candidate in Machine Learning for Vessel Performance Optimization at the University of Piraeus. His research leverages largescale, real-world operational datasets sourced directly from active naval and commercial vessels to develop and validate predictive models for fuel oil consumption. This positions his career at the unique nexus of real-world maritime operations, systems engineering, and advanced decision analytics.

Georgios Ntanis is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer, specialized in telecommunications, signal & image processing and computer systems. He holds an MSc in Mobile and Distributed Computer Networks, awarded in 2004. His work experience has been accumulated from the involvement in EU and national research projects, as well as various sectors of industry, especially covering technical and consulting roles. He is a member of the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory (QuALS) and is currently working as a research associate at Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)

Giorgos Papacharalampous holds a BSc in Informatics and Telematics from Harokopio University of Athens and a MA in Audiovisual and Motion Graphics Design from the University of West Attica. He is a member of the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory where he manages and supports the operation of advanced equipment, including UAVs, USVs, ROVs, and a full mission simulator, as well as a certified remote pilot and UAS operator. He has participated in numerous European projects, with specialization in Predictive Maintenance Systems and design of Eplatforms.

Theodora Griva is a junior mechanical engineer specializing in wind energy, solar power, and hydrogen storage. She holds a Mechanical Engineering diploma from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and is currently pursuing an MBA in Sustainability at the University of Piraeus. Her experience includes research on risk assessment for onshore wind turbines within the EU-funded projects, as well as contributions to technical reports and energy assessment tools for European island initiatives. She is skilled in quantitative analysis, energy systems evaluation, and the application of advanced engineering software.

Alexandra Itani is a member of the administrative staff at the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus. She graduated from the Department of Marketing at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and completed her Master’s degree at the Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus. Her thesis focused on the European Green Deal and its challenges for the maritime industry. She is a member of the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory where she participates in various EUfunded research projects, serving as a project management coordinator. She also supports the administrative and financial management of European and National projects.

Eleni Vargianiti is a graduate of Political Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and European Governance from the University of Peloponnese. She is a Research Associate responsible for Financial Management and Implementation of Research Projects, with her main responsibilities including the preparation and monitoring of budgets, the drafting of financial reports, and the submission of research proposals.
